Oracle CRM On Demand provides subscription-based CRM for sales, service, marketing, and contact-center operations along with analytics. It supports mobile access and the ability to integrate via web services. This is the SaaS version of the Siebel product. Oracle also offers the Oracle Siebel CRM, an on-premise application. Businesses can implement both and link them using the Oracle Application Integration Architecture and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Oracle CRM On Demand offers an online CRM with integrated sales and marketing in the cloud. Customers can perform contextual intelligence, real-time and historic analytics, and adaptive business planning. CRM On Demand also can integrate with Outlook and mobile applications. The API uses SOAP protocol with XML responses.
Oracle CRM On Premises is a traditional on-premises deployment where the customer is required to buy or lease infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems and databases, and install a packaged system in its data centre. On-premises solutions are most suitable for organisations that need complete ownership and control over the deployment and maintenance of their CRM application and infrastructure. They are also most suitable for integration with operational and legacy applications. Some CRM providers and specialized third parties offer customized vertical industry solutions that extend on-premises deployments.
