Alerting Framework in Boomi – Proactive Monitoring and Notifications

Boomi’s alerting framework ensures real-time monitoring and timely notifications for critical events within integration processes. At the core of this framework is the “Notify” shape, which allows users to configure automated email alerts based on specific triggers such as process failures, status changes, or predefined conditions. By leveraging this feature, businesses can proactively address issues before they escalate, minimizing downtime and improving system reliability. Users can define custom notifications to be sent to specific recipients based on the severity of the event, ensuring the right teams are alerted when necessary. This flexibility allows for a more responsive incident management process, enhancing overall operational efficiency. Boomi’s alerting framework plays a crucial role in maintaining seamless integrations by enabling users to monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.

How to use Boomi alerting?

Add a Notify shape to your process

Insert this shape at the appropriate point in your integration flow where you want to monitor for potential issues.

Configure notification details

Set the message content, recipient email addresses, and the event level (e.g., error, warning, info) that should trigger the alert.

Manage subscriptions

Define which users or teams should receive alerts based on their roles and specific process requirements.

Process Execution alerts

The PROCESS.EXECUTION alert identifies the start and end time for the execution of an Atom's process. The number of inbound and outbound documents are recorded, along with any documents that may have encountered errors during the process execution. The alert includes the process’ execution ID and a link to the execution. Clicking the link takes you to the process on the Process Reporting page. INFO log level alerts always send an execution status if the process runs to completion. Accompanying warning and error alerts can also be logged, depending on your process flow.
